What is the Welcome workspace?

Users with a new Pennsieve account and no private workspace invitation will be automatically granted access to the default Welcome workspace.

What can I do with the Welcome workspace?

The Welcome workspaces allows users interested in submitting datasets for publication to open data repositories that utilize the Pennsieve platform. Users can review information about the available repositories and determine which is most suitable for their dataset. Users can now first submit a dataset proposal directly through the Welcome workspace for review by the repository's review committee before any data is even uploaded. When a dataset is accepted by the repository, the information entered in the form automatically creates and populates a new dataset.

Where can I find the Welcome Workspace

Users with a new Pennsieve account and no private workspace invitation will be automatically granted access to the default Welcome workspace. It will be the landing page when you login.

Users with access to a private workspace can navigate to the Welcome workspace by selecting Submit to Public Repository from the user menu.

What happened to the Sandbox?

The Sandbox workspace has been deprecated. If you previously had access to the Sandbox workspace and need to access it again, please email [email protected]
