Visualizing the metadata graph structure
How can I see how my metadata is connected?
One the advantages of using a graph-based metadata system is the ability to quickly visualize how all your metadata is connected.
To do this, simply navigate to the Records
panel within a dataset and select Graph Browser
to see an at-a-glance view of all the relationships within your dataset. The screenshot below shows a simple use case for this:

However, as your dataset grows in complexity with numerous models and metadata relationships, this feature becomes increasingly valuable. Below is a screenshot of the metadata structure of the Parkinson's Progressive Markers Initiative (PPMI) — a longitudinal clinical observation dataset generously funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation:
