We are excited to announce the release of Pennsieve Platform Version 33.0.0, featuring a major upgrade to Vue 3, Custom Themed Workspaces, Integrated Documentation and a CSV/Excel file viewer.

Upgraded Front End Framework to Vue 3

We've updated the platform to the latest version of Vue.js. This update marks a significant advancement for the framework and provides faster rendering and more efficient updates, resulting in a smoother and more responsive user experience. By upgrading to Vue 3, we're ensuring that the Pennsieve Platform delivers optimal performance, even as datasets and projects scale. Vue 3 offers numerous improvements from a development standpoint, such as the Composition API which offers greater flexibility and organization in structuring component logic, making it easier to manage complex components and promote code reuse. Vue 3 is a major update and required a large scale refactor of the entire application.

Enhanced User Interface, including Custom Themed Workspaces

Custom themes are now available for individual workspaces to provide a unique user experience for each organization using the Pennsieve Platform.

Integrated Documentation

Users can now access comprehensive documentation integrated into the Pennsieve Platform from Readme.io. This new feature streamlines user interactions, providing a more efficient and intuitive experience, and helps new users get to know the platform more easily.

CSV/ Excel File Viewer

Easily preview CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files directly within the app, right on the File Details page.
